No man! No man! You just don't get it. She have legato technique, but she is not using it. You must listen to her "Vittoria, mio core", or "Batti, Batti, O bel masetto", and you will hear her singing legato in fast parts. Trust me on that one. Listen to it, and you will hear that you are wrong. There are more examples in Mozart arias, where she sings legato. I agree she is not using it hear, but it's not necesarry for this piece. I hope I will cure you! Ups! Sorry! I had to make one joke! ;o)

I think this performance in particular proves what I have have been writing here and there about her singing. She can do the legato only in slow motion; whenever she gets to the quick bits, she puts you on the electric chair. It is a shame because, if she worked harder, she could overcome this fault (which, I know, doesn't bother the general public, who adore her).
